I unplug from the internet for half the morning.


I immerse myself in music, audiobooks and podcasts.


I am mindful of the beauty around me.


I surround myself with good people.


I go outdoors and get some sun.


I nurture my enthusiasm with creative projects.


I pet a dog or cuddle a cat



I smile at anyone who makes eye contact.


I read a physical book.


I take naps.


I treat myself to chocolates.

Nice one! Wonderful and wholesome it is to care for yourself, not narcissistically but with gentle wisdom and compassion. There is a mindful friendliness that extends from self to others and others to self. One way I care for myself is to breathe—with tender intimate attentiveness, surrendering to the mystery of each nebulous moment. Being nobody, going nowhere, just here now. Sabbe satta sukhita hontu.

I think as we go through our daily lives, self-care often takes a backseat. I need to constantly remind myself of it, snatching little pockets here and there to do so. Mindful breathing is something we can all do. It is something I should be more deliberate with. Thanks for the reminder!
