Work In Progress

This is a shot I have wanted to capture for a while.

Or rather it is an approximation of the idea I have in mind. For my ambition is to one day take a photo of this elegant creature in flight. Or at least with its majestic wings extended in all its magnificent glory. I have come close several times but either the image was blur or my camera was too slow and all I got was a headless torso.

I have a list of photographs I want to take in my lifetime.

A flock of birds in flight juxtaposed against the sky.

An otter that actually looks like an otter.

A black naped oriole perched on a branch at eye level.

An artistic shot of the night sky.

The list grows with time.

This snapshot reminds me that so long as I keep my eye on the prize, I am always inching, however imperfectly, towards my goal.

For now, this is enough.
