Part 1: A Purr-fect Kind Of Love - Everybody's Cat

One of the beautiful things in my corner of the world is the concept of community cats. They are free roaming cats in the neighbourhood that have primary caregivers who feed them and tend to their needs. They are little furballs of sunshine, bringing bursts of joy to anyone fortunate enough to cross their paths. They are the best kind of companions when you need a therapist to listen to your woes or simply want company to sit in companionable silence with. And if you are lucky – very, very lucky – one may just climb onto your lap and you will be a privileged recipient of their trust.

Once in a while, someone opens up their heart and home to one of these floofs. We will miss them, of course, but we are glad they are off the streets, out of the harsh sun and rain and are now safe with a family of their own. Every cat deserves no less than this. As for the rest, we will continue to enjoy their company and lavish affection on them and pray for their well-being, knowing how blessed we are with them in our lives.
